Mechelle is the founder and owner of Sproutlings Speech & Language Center. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Florida and holds her Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).

With over 9 years of experience, Mechelle has provided intervention services in private practice, and public/private school settings working with pediatric and adult populations. In these settings, she has evaluated and provided intervention in the areas of expressive, receptive, as well as social pragmatic communication, phonological and articulation disorders, fluency/stuttering, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), early intervention, intellectual and learning disabilities, reading disorders, and literacy.

Mechelle has a passion for helping clients in their reading and literacy skills. She is currently trained in the SMARTER reading and writing intervention program and 60 hours trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach which implements research-based literacy instruction to help students reach their highest potential with a multisensory framework.

Mechelle strongly believes in the collaborative efforts with parents/caregivers, teachers as well as other professionals to provide the best support a child needs.
